A New Era for Rancho Christian Cross Country

Rancho Christian Welcomes Hannah du Toit as Head Cross Country Coach

Rancho Christian School is excited to welcome Hannah du Toit as our High School and Middle School Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track Coach.

Coach du Toit brings a deep love for movement, endurance, faith, and helping others grow in confidence. A Temecula resident for the past three years, she lives locally with her husband and their four children. Originally from Oregon and Utah, Coach du Toit grew up with a passion for running, sports, and an active lifestyle. What began with half marathons eventually became a journey into full marathon running and a lifelong commitment to health, fitness, and joyful movement.

That personal journey has shaped the way she coaches.

“I love coaching because it allows me to share my passion and knowledge of health and fitness while helping others achieve goals they once thought were out of reach,” Coach du Toit shared. “Seeing athletes and clients grow not only in strength and performance, but also in confidence, self-esteem, and the way they carry themselves, brings me immense joy and fulfillment.”

With more than three years of coaching experience, Coach du Toit has worked in macro and nutrition coaching, indoor cycling, and group weightlifting classes. She has trained for and competed in six half marathons and, by the end of this year, will have completed six full marathons. Her experience gives her a unique ability to understand the discipline, patience, mental toughness, and joy that distance running requires.

As she steps into leadership with Rancho Christian Cross Country, Coach du Toit hopes to help student-athletes see that the lessons learned through running extend far beyond the course.

“Beyond cross country, I want my runners to learn real growth happens when we ground ourselves in faith in God, knowing our strength and purpose come from Him,” she said. “With this knowledge, when they choose to show up, push through discomfort, and keep going when things get tough, they build a confidence that carries into every area of life.”

That mindset fits beautifully within the heart of Rancho Christian Athletics, where students are challenged to grow as athletes, leaders, teammates, and followers of Jesus. Cross country is a sport that asks athletes to keep showing up, even when it is difficult. It builds resilience, humility, discipline, and perseverance. Under Coach du Toit’s leadership, Rancho runners will be encouraged to pursue excellence while staying rooted in faith, purpose, and Christlike character.

Her life verse is Matthew 11:28-30:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly of heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

We are grateful to welcome Coach Hannah du Toit to Rancho Christian and look forward to the way she will lead, encourage, and invest in our student-athletes.
