Rancho Christian Launches High School Women’s Flag Football for 2026-2027, Welcomes Coach Terry Hinds
Rancho Christian Athletics is excited to announce the launch of High School Women’s Flag Football for the 2026-2027 school year, adding a new opportunity for student-athletes to compete, grow, lead, and represent Rancho Christian with Eagle Pride.
As women’s flag football continues to grow across high school athletics, Rancho Christian is proud to join the movement and begin building a program that reflects the heart of Rancho Athletics: competitive excellence, character development, teamwork, leadership, and Christlike care.
To lead the new program, Rancho Christian is excited to welcome Coach Terry Hinds as the first Head Coach of High School Women’s Flag Football.
Coach Hinds brings more than 15 years of coaching experience from multiple sports and schools across Southern California. His background includes serving as Head Junior Varsity Football Coach at Helix Charter High School, Track and Field Jumps Coach at Great Oak High School, Head Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Chaparral High School, and Head Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at Chaparral High School.
In addition to his coaching experience, Coach Hinds brings a strong athletic background of his own. He played varsity basketball at Morse High School and also competed at the semi-professional level in Mexico.
For Coach Hinds, coaching is about much more than the game itself.
“I love teaching young people about life experiences and how sports, grades, and good character can help them get where they want to go,” Coach Hinds shared.
That philosophy fits well with the mission of Rancho Christian Athletics, where sports are seen as an extension of the school’s commitment to developing students who are prepared for life, leadership, and purpose. Coach Hinds hopes his players learn how to be leaders, work as a team, and develop the kind of character that will serve them far beyond the field.
The launch of Women’s Flag Football marks an exciting new chapter for Rancho Christian Athletics. This new program will give students another pathway to compete, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and grow as leaders within the Rancho Christian community.
Coach Hinds also shared a simple guiding value for his life and leadership: “Just be a good student of the Word.”
