Rancho Christian Senior Luther Dettinger Named Temecula Valley Student of the Month

Luther’s character, commitment, and contribution to the Rancho community reflect what it means to pursue A Higher Standard.

Rancho Christian School is proud to celebrate senior Luther Dettinger, who has been selected as a Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month.

The longstanding community program recognizes college- and trade-school-bound seniors who demonstrate strong character, integrity, a love of learning, involvement in their schools and communities, and perseverance through life’s challenges. Students are selected by their school’s faculty and staff and honored alongside outstanding seniors from across the Temecula Valley.

Luther’s selection recognizes more than a single achievement. It reflects the positive contribution he makes to Rancho Christian as a whole. Through his character, commitment, and the way he represents his school community, Luther demonstrates the qualities Rancho seeks to develop in every student.

His recognition also reflects Rancho Christian’s 2026–2027 theme, A Higher Standard. Inspired by Colossians 3:23–24, A Higher Standard encourages students to pursue their God-given potential and approach their academics, relationships, responsibilities, and calling wholeheartedly. It is not about perfection; it is about continuing to learn, grow, persevere, serve others, and pursue excellence with integrity and purpose.

Luther’s example shows what those values can look like in the life of a Rancho Christian student. His contribution strengthens the people around him and represents Rancho well beyond our campus.

Rancho Christian is grateful for its partnership with the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations that invest in young people. Programs like Student of the Month give schools and community leaders an opportunity to recognize students not only for what they have accomplished, but also for who they are becoming.

These partnerships reflect values shared by Rancho Christian and the wider Temecula Valley: education, character, service, leadership, perseverance, and care for the community.
