Rancho Christian School Welcomes Roland Tarja as Women’s Volleyball Head Coach

Rancho Christian School is proud to announce the hiring of Roland Tarja as our new Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, ushering in an exciting new era for an already championship-caliber program.

Under strong leadership in recent years, Women’s Volleyball at Rancho Christian has been built on a solid foundation of excellence, discipline, and competitive success. With the addition of Coach Tarja, we are stepping confidently into the next level of opportunity for our student-athletes.

Coach Tarja brings more than two decades of elite national and international experience as both a professional athlete and coach. He has served as Head Coach of the Albanian Women’s National Team, led championship-winning professional clubs, and directed high-level youth development programs. A former Captain of the Albanian National Volleyball Team, he understands what it takes to compete and lead at the highest levels.

Notably, Coach Tarja also served as Head Volleyball Coach at Forza1 Volleyball Club — a premier competitive volleyball club in the Temecula/Murrieta area known for elite training and providing athletes with college recruiting guidance and opportunities. His experience there connects directly with families who know and respect the club’s role in advancing athletes toward collegiate-level play.

He holds advanced degrees in Physical Education and Volleyball Science, and is internationally certified through FIVB and USA Volleyball.

Beyond credentials, Coach Tarja is passionate about developing the whole athlete. His approach emphasizes disciplined preparation, strong fundamentals, character formation, and competitive team culture.

At Rancho Christian, Athletics is more than competition. It is an extension of our mission to cultivate a Community of Christlike Care, where students are known, loved, challenged, and prepared to be University Ready and Life Ready. We are committed to providing the highest level athletic opportunities while ensuring that faith shapes identity, leadership, and daily growth.

This hire reflects our long-term vision for Athletics at Rancho Christian. We are not simply maintaining success. We are building toward sustained excellence.

We are excited to welcome Coach Tarja to the Rancho family and look forward to the impact he will have on our athletes, our program, and our community.
