30 Reasons NOT to Be in a Play and Every Reason to Come See It
Apparently, there are at least 30 reasons not to be in a play. Rancho Christian Theatre is ready to make a very funny case for ignoring all of them.
This November, our students take the stage in 30 Reasons NOT to Be in a Play by Alan Haehnel, directed by Mr. Daniel Lybeck. The comedy opens Rancho Christian’s theatre season with outrageous characters and a collection of excuses that become increasingly ridiculous.
Every Excuse Becomes Part of the Fun
Think you’ve heard every reason someone might avoid the stage? Think again.
From stage fright to accidentally starting World War III, this production turns the supposed dangers of theatre into laugh-out-loud scenes. Wild situations give our student actors room to be goofy, get creative, and bring memorable characters to life.
For audiences, the result is an invitation to sit back and enjoy the chaos.
A Celebration of Theatre
Beneath all the excuses, the comedy celebrates what makes theatre such a meaningful experience.
Bringing a production to life takes teamwork. Stepping onto the stage takes courage. Along the way, students build friendships and discover what they can create together.
Attending a performance is a chance for our Rancho community to celebrate that effort and encourage the students whose work makes the show possible.

Make plans now, invite your friends and family, and help make Rancho Christian Theater’s first show of the year one to remember. Our students are bringing the comedy. Let’s bring the audience.
