Rancho Christian Theatre Announces 2026–2027 Production Season
Fall comedy 30 Reasons NOT to Be in a Play opens in November, with a classic production planned for spring
The curtain is rising on another exciting year of theatre at Rancho Christian School.
Rancho Christian Theatre has announced its 2026 fall production, 30 Reasons NOT to Be in a Play by Alan Haehnel. This fast-paced comedy will take the stage for six performances across two weekends in November.
Built around a series of increasingly ridiculous warnings about the supposed dangers of theatre, 30 Reasons NOT to Be in a Play explores everything from forgotten lines and awkward stage moments to embarrassing costumes and complete backstage chaos. Beneath the humor, the production celebrates the creativity, teamwork, courage, and friendships that make live theatre such a meaningful experience.
A Place for Every Student
Students of all experience levels are invited to become part of the production.
Experienced performers, first-time actors, and students simply curious about theatre are encouraged to audition. Opportunities will also be available behind the scenes through sets, props, costumes, lighting, sound, stage management, and other areas of production.
Whether students feel most comfortable under the spotlight or helping make the magic happen backstage, there is a place for everyone in Rancho Christian Theatre.
Through the rehearsal and production process, students will develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, responsibility, and the ability to collaborate toward a shared goal. It is another way Rancho Christian students are encouraged to pursue their gifts and approach their work with purpose at A Higher Standard.

Coming This Spring
The theatre season will continue in April with Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest.
Known for its clever dialogue, mistaken identities, and playful examination of love and social expectations, the spring production will offer students another opportunity to explore a distinctly different style of performance and storytelling.
Spring auditions are scheduled for FEB 10, with performances planned for APR 16–24.
