Rancho Christian Introduces “A Higher Standard” as the 2026–2027 School Theme
From Preschool through High School, the new theme reflects Rancho Christian’s commitment to academic excellence, faith, character, creativity, leadership, and preparing students to be University Ready and Life Ready.
As Rancho Christian School prepares for the 2026–2027 school year, students, teachers, staff, and families will be united around a new annual theme:
A Higher Standard.
Inspired by Colossians 3:23–24, the theme encourages the Rancho Christian community to approach every opportunity with purpose, integrity, excellence, and wholehearted effort.
A Higher Standard is not about demanding perfection.
It is about recognizing the potential God has placed within every student and choosing to grow through preparation, perseverance, faith, creativity, and courage.
It is a commitment to doing meaningful work, building strong relationships, serving others, and becoming the people God has called us to be.
A PRESCHOOL THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL COMMITMENT
The theme will shape the student experience across the entire Rancho Christian campus, from Preschool through High School.
For younger students, A Higher Standard may look like developing curiosity, learning to work with others, building foundational skills, and discovering the joy of learning.
For Elementary students, it may mean asking deeper questions, developing confidence, solving problems, strengthening friendships, and learning how faith influences everyday life.
For Middle School students, it includes growing in responsibility, independence, leadership, academic readiness, character, and belonging.
For High School students, A Higher Standard becomes increasingly connected to college preparation, future goals, service, leadership, advanced academics, athletics, arts, and spiritual maturity.
At every level, students will be challenged and supported by teachers who know them, care for them, and believe in what they can become.
ELEVATING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Academic storytelling and academic growth will be a major focus for Rancho Christian during the 2026–2027 school year.
The school is continuing to invest in STEM education, teacher support, hands-on learning, robotics, advanced coursework, academic counseling, leadership development, and college preparation.
These investments are designed to help students grow not only in knowledge, but also in critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, and confidence.

FOUR COLLEGE-PREPARATORY PATHWAYS
Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Rancho Christian students will have access to four distinct college-preparatory pathways based on their interests, goals, and academic aspirations.
UC-Ready Pathway
The UC-Ready Pathway is the school’s standard college-preparatory program.
It exceeds California graduation requirements and prepares students for admission to a wide range of colleges and universities.
Students receive a strong academic foundation while developing the habits, skills, character, and confidence needed for success in college and beyond.
Distinguished Scholar Pathway
The Distinguished Scholar Pathway is designed for students pursuing highly selective and top-tier college admissions.
The pathway includes a robust selection of Advanced Placement courses, concurrent enrollment opportunities, leadership development, and challenging academic experiences.
Students in this pathway are encouraged to pursue ambitious goals and develop the discipline and perseverance required to achieve them.
S.T.E.M. Academy Pathway
The S.T.E.M. Academy Pathway provides specialized preparation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Students will engage in STEM-focused coursework, robotics, clubs, hands-on projects, collaborative problem-solving, and experiences connected to some of today’s most rapidly developing fields.
The new S.T.E.M. Academy builds upon years of investment in K–12 STEM curriculum, co-curricular opportunities, robotics, and specialized academic programming.
Rancho Christian Sports Academy
The Rancho Christian Sports Academy gives student-athletes the opportunity to train and develop during the regular school day while pursuing a college-preparatory education.
Students work to become better, stronger, and faster while also developing leadership, discipline, character, and faith.
Sports Academy students are enrolled in one of Rancho Christian’s academic pathways, ensuring that athletic development remains connected to strong college preparation.
A HIGHER STANDARD IN ATHLETICS
Athletics is an important part of the Rancho Christian student experience.
Through competition, student-athletes learn how to prepare, persevere, work as a team, respond to adversity, lead others, and compete with integrity.
A Higher Standard means pursuing excellence while remembering that character matters as much as performance.
Rancho Christian coaches are committed to developing students who are prepared to succeed both in their sport and in life.
A HIGHER STANDARD IN THE ARTS
The arts challenge students to create, collaborate, communicate, and take meaningful risks.
Through theatre, music, and visual arts, students build confidence, technical skill, discipline, and the courage to share their gifts with others.
A Higher Standard encourages students to pursue both imagination and craftsmanship and to recognize creativity as an important expression of who God created them to be.
A HIGHER STANDARD IN STUDENT LIFE
The Rancho Christian experience extends far beyond academics.
Chapel, clubs, student leadership, retreats, service opportunities, athletics, performances, school traditions, and community events all contribute to a vibrant and connected campus culture.
These experiences help students build friendships, discover new interests, practice leadership, serve others, and find a place where they belong.
A HIGHER STANDARD IN FAITH
Faith remains the foundation of the Rancho Christian mission.
Students are encouraged to understand their identity in Christ, grow in biblical knowledge, develop spiritual disciplines, serve with compassion, and live with courage and integrity.
The theme reminds students and staff that excellence is not simply about achievement.
It is about honoring God through our work, relationships, character, and calling.
GROWING TOGETHER
Throughout the 2026–2027 school year, the Rancho Christian community will continue exploring what A Higher Standard looks like in classrooms, on fields and courts, on stages, in chapel, through service, and in everyday relationships.
There will be moments of success, moments of challenge, and countless opportunities to learn and grow.
Through all of it, students will be reminded that they are deeply loved, fully accepted, and capable of becoming more than they currently imagine.
