Hands-On Medical Learning Through GCU Live Lessons
Rancho Christian students recently had the opportunity to participate in a Methods of Wound Closure – Suture Clinic through our partnership with GCU Live Lessons, gaining valuable, real-world exposure to the medical field.
During the clinic, students learned essential clinical wound-closure techniques and practiced performing a simple interrupted suture, a foundational skill used by physicians every day. With step-by-step instruction, students experienced what hands-on medical learning looks like beyond the traditional classroom.
This experience helped build confidence, curiosity, and career readiness as students explored future pathways in healthcare. Opportunities like this reflect Rancho Christian’s commitment to providing meaningful, hands-on learning that prepares students for life beyond graduation.
THANK YOU to Mr. Sattelmaier and Dr. Medrano for collaborating with Grand Canyon University to bring this impactful experience to our campus. Partnerships like these help turn classrooms into pathways for the future and open doors for students to discover their God-given gifts and callings.
