Faith in Action Class Partners with Local Fire Department to Serve the Community

This season, students in Rancho Christian School’s Faith in Action class, led by Mrs. Livingston, put their faith into practice through a hands-on service project rooted in compassion and care.

Throughout the term, students thoughtfully crafted handmade blankets for individuals in need within our local community. Each blanket was made with intention, teaching students that small, consistent acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact.

Last week, the project reached a special milestone when members of the local fire department visited campus to collect the blankets. During their visit, firefighters spent time with students sharing about their role in serving the community, offering a close-up look at their fire truck, and introducing students to careers in firefighting and emergency services.

The visit created a powerful learning moment as students saw firsthand how service, generosity, and vocation intersect. It was a meaningful exchange between students learning to serve and community heroes who model that service daily.

Moments like these reflect Rancho Christian School’s commitment to being a Community of Christlike Care, where faith is not only taught but lived out through action, relationship, and service to others.
