Sweet Smiles and Leadership Skills: Eagle Ambassadors Take on the Gingerbread Challenge

At Rancho Christian School, leadership isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something our students live out every day. Our Eagle Ambassadors are a shining example of this. These hand-selected middle and high school student leaders serve our community with excellence, kindness, and hospitality. You’ll find them volunteering at Mission Hope, supporting the Pink Walk in Murrieta, welcoming guests during campus tours, hosting shadow days, and stepping into leadership roles both on and off our campus.

But leadership at Rancho also comes with moments of joy, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun.

This week, our Eagle Ambassadors joined forces with our International students for a holiday challenge you have to see to believe:

Build and decorate a gingerbread house… in just 15 minutes.

Yes, you read that right. Fifteen minutes.

And let us tell you — our Eagles delivered.

The campus was buzzing with Christmas music, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter. Teams jumped straight into action, designing cookie architecture with impressive speed and creativity. There were walls made of sugar cookies, roofs covered in gummy shingles, and frosting everywhere — literally everywhere.

In the race for holiday bragging rights, every team brought their A-game, showcasing not just their building skills but also their ability to communicate, collaborate, and encourage one another. It was a beautiful picture of what our Eagle Ambassadors embody: teamwork, leadership, and joy-filled service.

More than anything, this event reminded us that leadership is built in big moments of impact… and also in small moments of fun, friendship, and shared experiences.

We’re so proud of our Eagle Ambassadors and International students — not only for the way they serve and impact our Rancho community year-round, but for the way they bring life and joy into everything they do.

And yes… we’re also proud of their gingerbread masterpieces. Even the ones that leaned. Or collapsed. Or, in at least one case, tasted too good to stay standing.

Way to go, Eagles!
Here’s to more leadership, more laughter, and more memories this Christmas season.
