Head Coach:

Coach Eric Mobley is a family man and has been with his lovely bride, Nicol Mobley for 20 years. She is a middle school teacher with one of the local school districts and they have two handsome boys, Isaiah and Evan Mobley. Coach Mobley has been living and working professionally in Murrieta since 2000. He is originally from Georgia, but moved to San Diego California in the 80’s, where he attended Helix High School. Coach Mobley attended the University of Portland, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He also attended Cal Poly Pomona for two semesters, where he was the team captain and helped his team in conference play.

After graduating from college, Coach Mobley traveled and played professionally in Portugal, Indonesian, China and Mexico. He has also been on several mission trips to Mexico; sharing the gospel through the game of basketball. In addition, Coach Mobley played with High Five America men’s intercollegiate traveling team, where former division one basketball players played against various colleges and universities during exhibition pre-season play.  Coach Mobley previously (volunteer) coached at Helix High, Cornerstone Christian School as well as played in the World Basketball League, Youngstown Pride. One of Coach Mobley’s highlighted moments was playing on the legendary Meadowlark Lemon Globetrotters.  The team traveled across the country entertaining people of all walks.   

In 2006, Coach Mobley founded Triple Threat, which is a non-profit (AAU) Amateur Athletic Union Youth Basketball Program. The program is designed to educate and empower student athletes with confidence, commitment and integrity through the game of basketball. Through the Triple Threat program, Coach Mobley has had the opportunity to coach and mentor several hundreds of student athletes (boys & girls) in the Southwest Riverside area; some have earned basketball athletic scholarships. Coach Mobley is passionate about the game of basketball and is a man of faith. He gave his life to Christ at age 13. Coach Mobley is very excited about the future and says he is thrilled to bring his expertise to Rancho Christian School!
